I mean it, Kenner! Keep" your ,"hands away from my plate," the 10 year old girld hissed at her four year old brother.

The little boy looked at his sister in innocence until she turned her head to reply to a question from her mother. Then his chubby little hands reached once again for the bubbly pie just with in his reach.

The sound of her plate sliding on the wooden table set Kenna's temper off. A screech that could be heard to Floria River Hold and back eched throughout the cothold as Kenna and her mother both stared at the fork impaled in her brother's hand. The fork...and the blood...

Kenna blinked again as the eldery Weyrwoman of Cascade Weyr repeated her question.

"I hear you have a predilection for stabbing children."

Was it a question or a statement? Kenna wasn't sure. She stared at her her food as the Weyrwoman kept peeling the skin off her redfruit.

"I...uh," Kenna swallowed, her throat threatening to shut. "It was just once. My little brother...with a fork."

The weyrwoman nodded as if stabbing your baby brother with a fork was a normal everyday occurrence, "Baby brothers are horrible little creatures. Mine would have drowned in the well if my father hadn't caught me trying to throw the obnoxious little beast over the well wall."

Apparently, Kenna would fit in fine at Cascade Weyr.
