Physical Appearance

Physical Description		Standing 5’5” or so Menia has a curvy little body; some would call her “round”. She has good muscle tone, but has a tendency to carry a little bit of extra weights. Dirty blonde hair falls to the middle of her back in slight waves. Her eyes are unusual in that they are two different colors; one is emerald green, the other dark brown. Menia had light skin that burns rather than tans, and it the rare case that it doesn’t burn, she breaks out in freckles. If forced to sum up Menia in one word, most people would say “sweet”. She is always outgoing and willing to go out of her way to help people. She has a soft voice, and a soothing touch, making her very good with both children and animals. An after-effect of having lost her dragon Menia has panic attacks when she is alone. For this reason she tends to surround herself with people; like becoming a foster mother and impressing firelizards. She also has nightmares, and it now terrified of _between_ due to the loss of her dragon
Pet(s) Description		Charm is a big bronze firelizard with beautiful dark coloration. He is a friendly creature and enjoys the company of people and other firelizards. Charm is constantly with Menia, either on her shoulder or flying around. Tink is a stately little brown. Shyer and less friendly than his bronze brother Tink likes to be around when Menia is outside or in her apartements, away from the crowd.

Personality & Traits

Personal History

Menia was born and raised in the harperhall by a master song writter and her journeyman husband. An only child she was a very sweet, obedient child. She loved helping the kitchen workers and followed the headwoman around everywhere she went. Menia was considered by many to be a perfect little angel, though occasionally she did cause mischief. It was no surprise when she apprentisted as a voice student as soon as she was old enough. At 19, a few turns after becoming a journeywoman harper, Menia was searched and impressed a green Brieth on the sands of Cascade Weyr. For a little over two turns Menia and Brieth were together, but then the little green was killed after a collision with another dragon when coming out of _between_. Menia very nearly died from the horrible lose of her dragon and the injuries she suffered from the accident, but somehow she pulled out of the despair that almost killed her. Unlike many riders who lose their dragons Menia did not want to leave the Weyr. Menia felt she couldn’t live without the constant bustle of the Weyr, and that she had to be around dragons to cope with the loss of her green. So she became a weyrharper and began singing at meals and teaching the weyr children. A few turns back a rider had a baby that they couldn’t take care of and Menia became a foster mother, a job that she loves very much.
