Physical Appearance

Physical Description His nose looks slightly compressed and rounded; he has soft brown eyes and light brown, tousled hair that is exactly alike in shade. He's got a rounded face,but you would still call him average in weight for his size, 5'7". Though he doesn't smile often, when he does it will melt a woman's heart. Zurr never cares what he wears or looks like, and can often be found wearing the same shirt three or four days in a row.

Despite the fact that raising a child is new to him, Zurr is completely devoted to his 9 month old daughter Faycienne. He's become far more soft-spoken then he ever was, and the evil fire that used to flame through his personality has been reduced to a mere plume of evil smoke. He has a natural skill at Healing - as an apprentice he picked things up quickly, as if he were merely remembering them instead of learning them. He is very easy to trust - not because he is unusually honest (though he will never lie to a patient), but because there is not much depth to Zurr. What you see is usually what you get. This is not to say he's a stupid man, far from it. He's just every easy to read.

Personality & Traits


Personal History The son of two master healers at a Healer Hall, Zurr was named Zurribald at his birth but dropped the name as soon as he grew old enough to say it. By nature he was always the wild one: the one that the Headwoman briefed all the new arrivals about; the one the craftmasters dreaded growing old enough to become an apprentice. This continued through his apprenticeship, and were it not for his skill at healing, he probably would not have been promoted to journeyman. But he was, and he still didn't lose his wild streak. He traveled a lot, drank even more, and did not do the sort of things that well-bred, well-behaved crafterboys ought to do. And then something arrived that would change his life forever. More specifically, something that weighed approximately 15 pounds and already had a shock of curly white-blonde hair. Though Faycienne's greenrider mother had fostered her at birth as most female dragonriders did, there were a lot of babies being born at the time and it was decided that the foster parents should only raise children who had two dragonrider parents. At the same time, Zurr got a note from the MasterHealer saying that Caybrook Fjord Hold needed a new Healer. So he arrived at the minor Hold on dragonback with a small satchel of belongings and a baby whom he had no idea how to care for. It was difficult at first, but with some help he has become a devoted father and a very different man than he was a Turn ago.
