Physical Description		Tola is of middle height and weight. She has rounded features that approach plump, combined with her relish for food do not bode well for the slim figure she envisions for her future. She has darker olive coloured skin and darker eyes to match. Her hair clashes with her other dark features, it is a non-descript dirty blonde. Tola is a vain creature and thinks rather a lot of herself. Driven and direct, her mind is sharp and sarcastic and her tongue acid. Her matronly like image fools many into thinking that it houses that type of spirit and she relishes in proving them quite wrong. Manipulative and high-strung, it doesn't take much for her to snap if things don't go her way. She detests letting her emotions get the better of her and it happens rarely. She neither likes nor dislikes quickly or without careful consideration. Tola is a person centered on control, of herself and her environment. She likes her space and makes it well known. She is not good with close relationships, preferring distance and control. Somewhere she has a sense of humour but it is long buried and as always, controlled. All in all, Tola doesn't like chance or change because it violates her perfectly controlled life.
Pet(s) Description		Koyle is a tom cat that has managed to worm his way into Tola's unknowing affections. A accosted her as a ragged kitten and has taken possession of her since. As an adult, Koyle is as decrepit looking as he was as a kitten. His tabby colouring is peppered with scars, his one eye is permanently in a half-closed droop, his ears and tail are ratty, and more often than not his nose is swollen. An aloof and rarely affectionate cat, who likes to disappear for days on end, Koyle and Tola get along fine.

Personal History

Tola was born in a minor hold and almost immediately found herself something of an outcast in the close-knit family. As soon as she was of apprentice age she was shipped off by her dismayed family. When Tola chose the healer craft for her apprenticeship was no small surprise to the girl's family, who did not think a people-orientated craft was something that suited their reticent daughter. Tola persisted and eventually got her way, though she never did explain the choice completely, even to herself. Tola was a good student and it did not take her long to pass from a junior apprentice to senior. She achieved her journeywoman's knots with the same driven manner she applied to everything else. However, her cold and reserved nature as well as her lack in choosing a direction on which to focus her studies, troubled her masters. Instead of sending her to a smaller hold, which is what she had both requested and expected, Tola was sent to Cascade Weyr. What her master's expected her sojourn at the weyr to do for her personality or work they did not specify. Tola herself is resigned to the fact that the Weyr is to be her new home, but has refused the idea that it will change her. Imagine on her surprise when she arrived and was pronounced as suitable candidate material by a passing search dragon. She was almost affronted by the suggestion and refused on the spot. However, since than doubts have been creeping into her mind and perhaps all it will take is the right person to convince her what she might gain by standing.
